Autumn Skincare Routine

As the seasons change, so do our skin's needs. To keep your skin looking and feeling healthy and hydrated this Autumn, we're sharing the ideal nourishing skincare routine and holistic tips to keep you glowing well into Winter.

 

Step 1: Cleanse

The first step in any skincare routine is to cleanse your face to remove dirt, oil, and impurities. We recommend using the Glow Face Oil. This oil is perfect for removing makeup and impurities while nourishing your skin. Its blend of apricot kernel oil, spearmint and ylang ylang targets breakout-causing bacteria. Gently massage the oil onto your face and neck, then rinse with warm water and face cloth.

 

Step 2: Tone

After cleansing, it's important to tone your skin to balance its pH levels and prepare it for the next steps in your routine. For this step, we recommend using the Restore Toning Mist. This toner contains frankincense, which restores the epidermis and calms affected areas and patchouli to reduce inflammation and hydrate the skin. Gently mist your face and neck after cleansing.

 

Step 3: Hydrate

Autumn is the perfect time to incorporate face oil into your routine to help nourish and protect your skin against the colder weather. For this step, we recommend using the Nourish Face Oil. This luxurious oil is made with natural apricot kernel oil, including mandarin oil, myrtle oil, and lavender oil, which are rich in antioxidants, vitamin E and essential fatty acids. Apply a few drops of oil to your face and neck, and gently massage into the skin.

 

Step 4: Sunscreen

After treating your skin with a face oil, it's essential to protect it from UVA damage. We recommend Ultra Violette sunscreen. They offer a range of facial sunscreens for sensitive, dry and breakout-prone skin. So far, it's the only facial sunscreen I've found that doesn't make me break out.

 

Step 5: Mask

Once or twice a week, give your skin a little extra TLC with the Replenish Face Mask. This mask contains pink clay, which helps to draw out impurities and toxins from the skin, as well as rosehip, which helps gives your skin a boost of hydration without creating excess oil. Apply a thin layer of the mask to your face and neck, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

 

Holistic Tips

In addition to using high-quality skincare products, there are some holistic tips to keep your skin looking and feeling its best this Autumn. Here are a few ideas:

  1. Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated is essential for maintaining healthy skin, especially as the weather gets cooler and drier.
  2. Eat a healthy, balanced diet. Eating foods rich in vitamins and antioxidants can help nourish your skin from the inside out. Some good options for Autumn include pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and dark leafy greens.
  3. Get plenty of rest. Getting enough sleep is crucial for allowing your body to repair and regenerate, which can help to keep your skin looking healthy and radiant.
